Description

At present over 150 different species of birds can be found on the resort itself; reed cormorant, black- headed heron, blacksmith plover, African fish eagle, rock kestrel, crested francolin, long-billed pipit, and the redcapped lark, to name just a few.

Besides the traditional game-drives, game and bird-life can be viewed from hides situated at two watering holes on the resort

Monateng Safari Lodge lies within the lower half of the Amakulu Nature Reserve project which will be a 250 000 hectare fauna and flora haven. This phased development will compete with the Kruger National Park and other reserves in Zimbabwe and Mozambique.
